A Little More About Us

The Rhodes State College Center for Critical Incident Response and Prevention is located on the campus of Rhodes State College, 4240 Campus Drive, Lima, Ohio, 45804.

The Center was created to meet the emerging needs for prevention and response to critical incidents at colleges, schools and at businesses. In 2012, Rhodes State College received a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Assistance to develop materials to help colleges and universities prevent tragedies like campus shooting incidents. But Rhodes State realized that K-12 schools and businesses needed the same preventative tools that augment the national response standard.

The Center’s classes are based on the most current thinking on the topic of preventative planning by a team of national consultants and advisors. More than 700 individuals have participated in Center for Critical Incident Response and Prevention events, demonstrating Rhodes State’s ongoing commitment to leadership development for Colleges, K-12, Businesses, and Industry Employers.
